What is Home Theater and why should I care?

For those of you who are just getting started with exploring the concept of home theatre we thought we should provide you a basic understanding of what this is, how it works (currently) and why it is so popular!

Why Home Theatre?:

Comfort level. Why go out when you can stay home and relax?
Affordability. Going out costs money. When you get to the movies the food and drinks are outrageous in price! Most home theatres are really quite reasonable in price.
Pause the movie whenever you want and come back to it right where you left off!

What is Home Theatre?:

Home theatre (or if you prefer, home theater) is simply a way to re-create a movie atmosphere without having to leave the house. A home theatre will allow you to sit in the middle of the film and have special sound effects fill the room from different directions. Once you watch a movie this way, you will never want to watch it the way you used to again!

You may not think you have what is needed for even the most basic home theatre, however you will find that you already have some of the necessary equipment to get started with. Adding this in small stages makes it an affordable viable option to seriously consider.
